Bespoke Wooded School Seating - Denton

This was a different project. It is a shaded outside seating area I made for our local primary school, using decking timber.

This is the finished thing. The roof is 4.8 metres square (about 16 feet in old money). It is primary four rectangular “pillars” with deck planking in between and at different heights to suit small children. The roof planks are laid as “slats” with gaps between to provide shade.

 

 

This shows one of the inside corners. Here you can see the different seating heights and children can sit either on the inside or the outside.

 

 

This is looking up at the roof so you can see how the light can come through but at the same time, it is offering shade.
