Large Wooden Decks

This is quite pretty because, unlike most of the other pictures, this is long established. This is my own “back yard”, built about 10 years ago. I have to admit though that the frame is not as I build them now and it’s a bit “springy” to walk on. We did this because the garden is solid clay and the lawn that it replaced, was both cracked and parched in the summer or muddy with worm casts in the winter. This way, we just grow things in containers and if something needs more sun or shade, we just move it.

This is another view. We’ve also added a micro irrigation system with automatic timer so all the pots get watered, even when we go away. The ultimate in low maintenance!
